How does AKB Beauty establish its pricing?

This is our most-asked question and the most exciting thing to share! AKB Beauty is able to provide luxury products at affordable price points because we continually evolve our rates based on the marketplace. Unlike other major beauty purveyors, our markups are slim and designed to cover only our operations. Our goal is to consistently offer the world’s most premium brands for the best value — without compromising top-notch quality.

How is AKB Beauty able to provide a better price than other retailers?

AKB Beauty’s team has spent more than 30 years establishing a network of supply chain relationships with original beauty manufacturers, authorized distributors, and high-end department stores across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Not only do we leverage these connections to obtain lower wholesale costs, but we also watch our own margins carefully. We reduce our costs by staying true to our quality standards and being simplistic with our resources — eliminating "free" product samples, gift wrapping, and elaborate advertising — so we can offer luxury prestige products at affordable prices 24/7.

I have a promotion code I forgot to apply on my order. Can I get a price adjustment?

Unfortunately, we are unable to apply any promotion/ discount codes once an order is placed.

How do you ensure your products are fresh and genuine?

We incorporate the Japanese value for meticulous quality control into all that we do. We store all of our products in a temperature-controlled warehouse and test them with an internationally-acclaimed Quality Management System — to ensure that each and every package is genuine and fresh. How come AKB Beauty’s packaging sometimes looks different than what’s sold in retail stores?

Part of AKB Beauty’s business model is leveraging our international network to offer luxury products at a lower price point. Sometimes, this means you’ll see packaging that’s different from what’s on the shelf in American stores. Since we get all of our goods directly from the original manufacturer, distributor, or high-end department store, the product packaging will occasionally vary depending on the market it came from. These variations never include the product itself — you can feel confident that your purchase is of the same quality and authenticity you’re accustomed to and expect!

Can AKB Beauty use product reviews in their marketing material?

AKB Beauty is proud to engage with the beauty community! After a purchase, you will have the opportunity to rate the product and leave a review. All reviews are subject to review and moderation before being posted. Product ratings and product reviews submitted to AKB Beauty may be published or shared for marketing material and purposes.

Can I get samples?

Since we keep our focus on the essentials, we only offer samples when they are available. This is one of the many ways we are able to offer such amazing prices!

How do I get a product that isn’t listed or one that is sold out?

We love to hear from our customers! If you’re interested in a product that isn’t listed on our website, please let us know through our contact page. We’re happy to ask our team of international buyers to look into finding it for AKB Beauty. If a product you’re looking for is sold out, please use the “notify me when available” function on the product page and we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as it’s back in stock!

How do I know which product would suit me best?

We organize our assortment by category as well as particular preferences and needs to make it easy to find something that works for you. AKB Beauty is also a great place to shop once you’ve already found a product you want to access in value sizes, stock up on, or simply purchase at a more affordable price!

Will I get a better product or shopping experience at AKB Beauty compared to other websites?

Every beauty website is different, however, AKB Beauty was created to provide something we believe is missing from the beauty market: a seamless shopping experience offering luxury beauty products at price points that makes sense for everyone. I entered the wrong address. Can this be fixed?

Once your order is placed, we cannot modify it. Please always make sure your shipping address and information is correct before placing your order.

Can I place an order via telephone?

We do not currently offer purchases via phone, kindly order from website directly.

How many Promotion codes can I use per order?

We honor each promo code once per customer, along with one promotion code per order. We do not allow the same household to create multiple accounts and/or use the new customer promo code multiple times. With our amazing pricing, we’re confident you won’t have buyer’s remorse!

Can I use my AKB Beauty Passport Rewards with other promotion code and/or coupon?

Passport Rewards points are non-combinable with other promotion code/coupon and are one-time use only.

What is your sales tax?

Since we are an international company, we do not charge you sales tax! That means you’re saving even more when you shop with AKB Beauty, in addition to our already-affordable prices.

How do I know when an item is available again?

On your desired product page, we have an "Email me when Available" feature which will allow us to notify you when the item is back in stock!

What should I do if I receive the wrong product?

If you believe you have received the wrong item, please contact us and we will get it sorted out right away.

We accept most major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express card.

I do not have a PayPal account. Do I need to create one in order to place an order?

There’s no need to create a Paypal account to shop with AKB Beauty. Simply opt to check out as a guest at checkout.

I paid by credit card and I do not have a PayPal account. Why do I receive an email payment confirmation from PayPal after?

Since our website uses PayPal as our payment gateway, you will receive an order confirmation from Paypal, even when you check out as a guest.

PayPal accept most major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express card.

Is my payment information secured through checkout at AKB Beauty website?

We value keeping your credit card information safe and secure. AKB Beauty will never share your credit card information or personal details.

Can I modify or cancel my order?

Once your order is submitted, it will be fulfilled and cannot be cancelled.
